A TEA MAKER.....

This is the neatest thing. Lisa received it for Christmas. It came with a "tea ball," and a cup for brewing your tea. On the stove you bring a cup of water to a boil, and then pour it into the cup over the tea ball. Let it simmer until the right strength. But here is the strange part. The tea ball opens up into a beautiful flower. Look at the picture closely. You can watch as it opens up. The tea tasted wonderful. I think that was one of Lisa's favorite gifts.

I found their web site. If you want to read more about it. They are rather expensive.... I think Lisa's came from Belk Dept. Store. in Johnson City, TN

What a great gift. I would love one of those as would a lot of people I bet. I wonder where she got it. You might be able to find it online. I am going to try. Thanks Clara for showing it to us. I have never seen one before.

Such an usual gift. I love tea, so I would have loved this one. Got to put it in a clear glass so it can be enjoyed to the fullest.

I have started a new blog, it will be the one I will be posting on daily. Hope you will follow it.

Clara, My hubby taught in Chine several semesters. He learned to enjoy 'real' hot tea. SO--he has 3 of your new gadgets--and we drink loose-leaf tea every single day. He orders our fancy tea online (Special Teas) --and we have several incredible flavors, from old faithfuls like Earl Gray to new ones like Pina Colada. Enjoy your new gift!!! You'll love it. I never enjoyed hot tea as much as I do now.

By the way, I added you to my list and hope you will add my blog. Thanks.
Hugs,
Betsy

Clara,
What a cool gift! It ranks right up with Ebelskivers, which make little stuffed pancakes. I don't have either, but my neice has one of the Ebelskivers which come from either Sweden or Norway. I saw it on her blog just after she got it.
See you,
Ruby

What a novel gift. Can you eat the flower?

I'm wondering what my friends in England will say about this?

Thanks Clara, for the info. I will check it out.

That is just amazing, Clara. How lovely to be able to watch your tea flower bloom!

By the way, Amazon.com has the set at a pretty reasonable price. And you don't have to pay tax! Just go to Amazon and search "Primula Flowering Tea Set." It's 29.99 with the pot.
