"FAREWELL TO SUMMER"

This is blooming in my yard.  It is a member of the Aster family. I posted a picture of it last year too!

Such a gorgeous color, Clara. I've seen alot of purple so far this early Fall. SO pretty!!!

I loved seeing the pictures of your trip. Glad your hubby did well. I enjoyed seeing the picture of that cute little barefooted girl on the beach--the one in red..... LOVE it!!!!

Enjoy the sunshine FINALLY.
Hugs,
Betsy

That flower is just beautiful and my favorite color. My flowers look better right now than the entire summer. I hate to see them go.

Hello Clara
I call the Michaelmas Daisies. Very easy to grow and easy to propogate - just dig them up and divide then replant. They should take off easily before winter arrives. Give them some mulch over winter to keep them nice and warm
Take care
Cathy
ps Thanks for the info on Shiners

So pretty, Clara! I just went to Lowes yesterday and could not resist buying not just one, but two asters. One was purple and one was blue, and I couldn't decide which one to get, so I got both!
