My Yard This Morning.....

My Grapevine.....
My Yellow Flowers. I don't know what they are, but they bloom at night and close up in the day.

My purple flowers...

and....look what the storm did yesterday. We had a hard storm about 5 o'clock PM. It blew over my Wolf River apple tree. It wasn't a strong tree because two years ago it was so heavy with apples that almost all of the limbs were broken...so I guess it has done it's last duty. I will miss my wolf rivers!

Now the task of cleaning it up!

love the flowers. I can't tell for sure but I think the yellow ones are evening primroses. Do they grow wild? They just remind me of those.

How sad that your apple tree is gone. I don't envy your task of cleaning up.

Your flowers are lovely. That's too bad about your apple tree. I love the photo of your dogwood at the top.

Where is it you live? I think I may be coming your way round grape pickin' time! Oh how good those vines look. Love the flowers, and too bac about your apple tree.

These storms that have been flashing through are determine to leave something destructive in their path.

OH, yes. I'm glad to hear about your meeting the Author. That is so much fun.

The storms have been rough lately, Clara, haven't they??? We've been lucky SO FAR up here.

Sorry you lost your apple tree. Did you cry? I would have.

Our friends who have a home in the NC mountains lost a huge tree recently in their back yard. Luckily it just barely missed their back porch.. Scary!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

That is a real shame about your apple tree. The flowers are beautiful and your grapes look great!

Maybe the tree will come back out from the stump. Worth the try if the apples were good.

Your flowers are so pretty and so is your grapevine. I am sorry about your tree but I guess it could have been worse. Kentucky had tornadoes today touch down in southern part of the state but we were lucky to only get rain here. I let my sourdough started die, too. I have too much to do outside in the summer. I will start it back in the fall for the winter months.

Your flowers are beautiful, Clara. And your grapevine. It looks just like ours! Ours makes the sweetest grapes, but they have big seeds in them. I like making fresh grape juice.

I'm so sorry about your apple tree. I know that must be heartbreaking.

Hi Clara! Love your flowers and sorry about the apple tree. We have had storms every day. Yesterday was one right after the other. Thankfully we haven't had anything bad though. Just bad lightening and lots of gully-washers! We had another today.

How nice that you got to meet Debbie Macomber! I have heard that her books were good. I've got to read them and find out!

Your flowers are sure pretty. I'm not sure what they are either but the yellow one liiks like some kind of Evening Primrose.
Too bad about your Wolf River Tree. My daughter has one in her orchard, but some kind of work got into the tree and has nearly defoliated it. I hope it can be saved as well as all the other fruit trees she has.

I'm SO glad I stumbled into your corner! I was blessed by reading your post where you said some are dying to live and others living to die. That's profound. And when you said, "Without Him..." a song by that name came back to my mind. In highschool in the late 60's I sang in a trio and that was our most requested song! I'd kind of forgotten about it - but not about HIM!
