Storm and Oil Lamp.....

A BAD storm passed through our area last night about 5:00 P.M. The electricity was off for over an hour. Out came the oil lamp. That brought back a lot of memories! We had winds up to 80 miles an hour. The picture below is our neighbor. One of his trees blew across our chain link fence. It was so dark outside that you cannot tell how bad it was. Another one of the neighbors lost two trees....a huge apple tree and a big maple. This morning on my way out I have never seen so many trees down....on top of houses ...on top of cars. I think it was a tornado.

I am so glad that you are OK. Did you get any tree damage?

Hi Clara. So sorry you had such an awful storm. We had a powerful rain and wind late yesterday afternoon, but I only found a few maple branches down. My flowers were drooping and some were laying on the ground. I will know to put tomato cages over them next spring so that won't happen again.
Lets hope the Spring storms are over and we can have some warm sunny days now.
God bless you and yours

You must have had the same storm that passed through here. I did not know it but there was trees down all over the place only 4 miles from me and some on houses. We were lucky. I am glad you were not hurt.

80 mph winds are some STRONG winds. I'm glad no trees crashed into your home!! It is neat to have an oil lamp. I have candles and flashlights, but an oil lamp is much more interesting.
I hope you received my return email concerning the necklaces. I sent you several pictures.
I hope you are having a good day.
It is quite hot here today.

I'm glad that you are both safe. That was quite a storm system moving across the U.S.!

Is Mother Nature going crazy this year??? :-O

Take care...

Oh my goodness Clara!! I'm so glad you are okay. We didn't get those storms thankfully. 80 MPH winds are strong! Seems like there have been so many storms this year all over the place. Weird weather nowadays.

Sorry to hear of your storm. We have been very lucky so far.

I must have misplaced your url somehow a while back, Clara. Nice to see you again. I'll have to do some catching up. I found you again through comments on Judy's blog.
