I WILL SURVIVE!!!!!!!

It has been a long time since I have been this sick. Last Thursday night I started running a high fever. It stayed at 103 for three days. I finally gave up and went to the Urgent Care Unit on sunday afternoon. It was so busy....I was there four hours. The first thing the Doctor asked if I had ever had the Shingles. I haven't. My fore head was one solid whelp, and bright red. My eyes were swollen shut and my hair was a mess. I made a picture of myself, but it scared me when I saw it, so I deleted it instantly. They finally said I had Cellulitus. I don't know if that's the way you speel it or not. It is a skin infection.....not from being dirty, but just something that happens. For years, I have had a bad case of dandruff. I have tried every shampoo on the market...none works. And I have a tendency to scratch in my head. That is where the infection came from. I shampoo my hair every other day and still it was itchy. The Dr. wrote me a prescription for some shampoo that I think is going to work....along with something else I tried. Some one told me they had seen in Dr. Gott about someone who couldn't get rid of their dandruff and had tried rubbing KOOL WHIP into their hair.....every other day for about a week. Well, I did that. My hair feels so much better, I could almost eat it! LOL My dandruff is gone.... my whelps are gone and my fever is gone. I am almost back to normal.... enough to know that I WILL SURVIVE!!!!

I'm glad you are better Clara. No fun being sick. My husband had a fever and some red hot spots on him a while back and the first thing they mentioned was cellulitis. But after seeing it the nurse ruled that out. It went away after a few days. Strange.....

Cool whip in your hair....never heard of that one, but if it helps then HOORAH!!!

Glad you are better!

I've never heard of the cool whip treatment either but I'm glad it helped. Sounds like you were really sick and miserable.

You sure did survive, and I'm glad to hear it!!

My son has been ill since Tuesday. He rarely gets sick, but when he does, he whines and moans and complains like he's dying. It is kind of funny how he acts, and we tease him. He's just not used to being sick, and even if it's just a sniffle, he can't hardly bear it. :-)

It might be that you are allergic to the shampoo you were using. Have you thought about using a natural or organic brand? I use a Jason brand shampoo and my head doesn't itch anymore.
However, if cool whip works, go for it!!!
Glad you're better and the pickles and tomato's are beautiful!!
