Appalachain Quilt Trail.....

You see these quilt squares on old barns all over the Appalachain area. Of course they are made from wood, but they look like a real quilt. I think that is so neat. It's called the Appalachain Quilt Trail. Some organization does it and I guess its called "The Appalachain Quilt Trail Organization".....I don't know. I'm going to start an album and see how many different barns I can collect. There are several going down 11W as I go to Lisa's.

Hi clara,
That is something that I have never seen or even heard of, but I think it is a great idea. I have several quilts that my aunt made. I just love them. She used to have that quilting frame thing set up and would work along on it. She had lots of patience. I am looking forward to seeing more barns with the neat quilts on them. Thanks for sharing!

Clara, I hope you post them all. I never heard of that either, but would love to see them. Does that organization have a website that you know of?

Yes they do have a web site. Just type into google and you'll find it. Very interesting stuff. I'm ready to go to Tennessee but guess I'll have to depend on Clara to get the pictures and post them on here!

I love these barns...have a few on my blogs, the one Time Stand Still listed on my sidebar and then if you look at my profile here and click on the one From the Dirt Road...and they are from down home for the most part...I think a couple were from the interstate on our way home a couple weeks ago.
