Friendship improves happiness and relieves misery by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief.

Memory Monday....
I'm back after spending four days with my daughter and grandsons. We had the priviledge of seeing Dolly Parton in person. She came to Thompson- Boling Arena in Knoxville for a concert. It was great. I really like her. I came home last Sunday and the boys came with me, so we enjoyed our week together. That will be the last time for a long visit because school starts soon. But anyway....this morning as the soft, gentle rain fell, it brought back memories of my childhood. We loved to play in the rain. ... running through the puddles and catching rainwater in a barrel. When it rained, we could always find these tiny frogs. I never see them now. They would come out by the hundreds. We thought it rained them from Heaven. It sure didn't take much to make us happy. Does anyone else remember seeing these little frogs?

Yes, little bitty ones.
I remember them too. Looking back, I am really glad I grew up in the country. At the time, I thought living in "town" would be wonderful. I realize now what an advantage it really was to live in the country, and go to a small school. There was 42 in my graduating class, so it really was a small school!
You are bringing back things I haven't thought about in years. Thanks!

I too remember the frogs. I hadn't thought of that in years.
I do remember these frogs...and I remember a boy throwing one at a friend of mine who was scared of them and it going in her pocket...of course I and my friend were right in with boys in catching them.
Yes, I recall the frogs! I love frogs! I think they are so cute! I seldom ever see them anymore. Recently I was at a park and someone spotted this tiny little frog. He/she was dime size! So adorable!!!
We always enjoyed (and I still do) sitting on the front porch while a gentle rain is falling. It's so nice and peaceful!
