I found this bird nest in a hanging basket on my front porch. Betsy over
here told me it is a Carolina Wren. I noticed the other day the Mother bird was sitting on the nest and I guess it was her mate bringing food to her. Now that's what I call being considerate ...a lot of men could take a lesson from these birds...LOL.

Oh how special, Clara... Glad you are getting to see all of this first hand... They will grow up quickly and leave the nest... BUT---the Daddy and Mama may come back a couple more times and have another brood... SO special.
I'm not sure they are Carolina Wrens --but when you said they were small brown birds nesting in a hanging basket, that's what I thought.
Thanks for sharing... You'll have to continue taking pictures and posting them for us...
Hugs,
Betsy
Awwww, little fuzzies! So sweet. Nice to witness such a wonderful thing.
Oh, how sweet Clara!! I love seeing baby birds. With all my cats they wouldn't last long here. That's the down side to having cats. They catch the lizards too and I like the lizards. Don't ever see lizards here anymore either!
I love your antique items in the previous post too! I remember Mom churning butter and how good it was on hot cornbread!! Yum!!!
How precious those baby birds are!
Yep, a lot of men could learn about how much women appreciate it when their hubby does nice things for them. And any new mommy needs all the help she can get!
It will be so much fun to watch them grow and learn to fly. Great pictures.
What great pictures, Clara! That's a lot of bird babies there--I reckon they're going to be pretty crowded when they get big! We have a house finch nest on our porch light right by the door, so we have to remember not to turn on the light at night. The poor Mama gets startled every time we come and go and sits up in the tree cussing us.:-)
We have Morning Doves nested in the pine tree very low to the ground. It causes alot of stress on me because I have to keep my eye on our cat morning, noon and night!! Don't you just love spring??? New life all around us!
Ribbon flowers are almost finished...so close. Right now I have quilts and bags on my mind, can't seem to leave them alone....you know how that goes. Thank you for asking.
Love your lilac picture, can't wait until mine are open.
Talk soon
Cathy
How precious to have captured the before and after. There is a next on my porch post, high up at the porch roof line. It seems a squirrel (imagine that!) disturbed it so now it is empty. Did I ever tell anyone how I detest the little rats with long furry tails that live in trees???
Aw...I love these pictures....!
Can't wait to see the new babies....and, I love your comment about "men"!
: )
I love the photo's of the birds nest ! I agree, a lot of men COULD learn a lesson from that ... ha ha ;)
