Light at The End of the Tunnel.....
Still trudging along in the mangrove.

An Island....

This is the place they landed on after walking through the mangrove for two hours.
This is what they saw when they were back on land....all kind of broken pottery and shells. No one has been here before.....they say!

Lisa With The Monkeys....

Here is my daughter in ElSalvador, Central America with the monkeys. They are monkeys in the wild. She fed them bananas and had to rush to get back in the car when all the bananas were gone. She said they would attack you . That is her husband beside her.....(another monkey) LOL just kidding Donaldo.....

Quilt Barn For The Day!

This Quilt Barn is in Grainger Co. That is where Lisa lives. I made the picture early one morning when I was taking Lucas to school. When I got back home that morning, I forgot to turn the lights off on my car, and when I started back to get him that afternoon, by car wouldn't start. Luckily, Donaldo had left the keys to his truck on his dresser, but I had a few anxious moments.

Another Quilt Barn.....

This one is also in Hawkins County. Sometimes they are far off the road and I can't get close enough to get a good picture. I have to be careful that I don't get run over.

Quilt Barn For The Day!!!!

Except it isn't a barn. It is a gallery, pottery place and a cafe which is called "Sweet Tooth Cafe." Mr. Blogger wouldn't let me post two pictures together today, so if you will scroll down, there are three pictures of this place. It is in Hawkins County, TN. , and is just off highway 11w. Note the color of the shutters, each one being a different color and matching the quilt. This is one of my favorites so far.

My stay on the farm.....

We had a wonderful week at my daughter's farm and with the boys. Time flew by as we stayed busy every minute. I made goat cheese four different times. One time, I had to climb up in the top of the barn because the hay that had been put down for me was gone. I wish you could have seen me up in the top of that barn. Talk about keeping you young! The color of the leaves were georgous there. I have never seen them so vibrant. Lisa had forgotten to move her big plant indoors that she calls "Big Dave" He is to big for me to move, so every night I put him to bed with a big blanket over him. It was in the twenties one night. The animals love me because I always take them loads of apples and they know what I am going to do when they see me coming. Ryan called me after I got home and said they were crying for me. Lisa brought back some beautiful pictures and a lot of "goodies" from ElSalvador. They had a wonderful trip, but said they missed us! I'm glad they are home and all is well. Claudia, I want you to know, I had you on my mind...especially on the twentieth. I'm glad you don't have to have heart surgery! Everything is going to be alright! Dot, scroll down, I have started posting the quilt barns again. Grammie, I know Owen must be growing in leaps and bounds as well as your love for him! Teresa, I was down in your neck of the woods...isn't everything beautiful?????? And to everybody.....have a blessed day and rejoice in Him!!!!!

Appalachain Quilt Trail.....More to come!

This barn is at Allendale in Kingsport TN. This is one of many pictures I made this past week. I will try to post one a day until I get them all. Now, I have my grandchildren looking for quilt barns.

Fall Color Almost at its Peak......

We were still in Ashe County NC when I made this one.

Quilt Barn in Doe Valley

This one is not very bright. The sun wasn't in the right place. And I don't know the name of the quilt. It almost looks like the one in Trade. TN. Some kind of star. that's all I know!
Doe Valley Quilt Barn!

Farm in Ashe county NC

I think this farm is on Big Laural Rd. in Ashe County. This is where we stopped and ate our sandwich and stretched our legs. It was so peaceful!
