DEAR BILL,
A YEAR HAS PASSED SINCE YOU WENT AWAY.
MY HOW TIME DOES FLY!
IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY..
YOU SAID YOUR LAST GOODBYE.
I WISH YOU COULD BE HERE,
TO SEE THE THINGS I'VE DONE
A NEW ROOF, A NEW DRAIN...
BUT GOD SAID YOU MUST COME.
IT'S NOT THE SAME WITHOUT YOU...
THE NIGHTS ALL SEEM SO LONG!
I STILL HERE YOU CALL MY NAME...
EVEN THO I KNOW YOU'RE GONE.
PLEASE WAIT FOR ME FOR I'LL BE THERE...
AS I PROMISED YOU I WOULD.
GOD WAS SO GOOD TO US....
I'D DO IT OVER....IF I COULD!
YOUR LOVING WIFE "CLARA MAE"

The time goes by fast, doesn't it. I was just talking to a friend at church whose wife died last January. He said, "It's almost been a year."
Holidays always seem a little empty when a dear one is gone, but don't we have a great day coming when we're all together in heaven!
Hugs to you.
Oh, Clara....this brought a tear to my eye...
Clara, I know what you have gone through. I lost Bob last year in May. I followed your saga after that. It's sad, isn't it? But one of us had to go first and he was very dependent on me for everything and always told me if I went first he would remarry right away. He was a very lonely man with lots of friends but very dependent on a wife.
I am thinking of you on this day.
That is so touching Clara. The time does go fast. I hope you manage to have a lovely Thanksgiving with your daughter and grandkids!!
A beautiful poem and tribute to Bill. You were the height of grace as his wife and caregiver and you continue to honor him even now. May God bless you in abundance for all of it.
