Flowers and Hospice.....

O.K.   Enough of the ice and snow.   Now I'm ready to see some flowers and sunshine.   I've been rather busy the past two weeks.  Home Hospice is coming to help me take care of Bill. (DH)   The Dr. reccomended it and left it entirely up to me.  The best part....I don't have to try to get him to the Doctor any more.  The last time was really a hassle for me and him too.   Now the nurse comes and keeps a check on him and calls in his medicine.  I don't have to go after his Morphine prescription now at the Doctor's office.  She can call that in too!.   They have so many good programs.  I can take him for respite days...one or five or as many as I need.   Right now, I can't see him going, but we will work on that a little at a time.  There are also aides that will come and sit with him if I need that.  So that's what's going on in my world.  Hope everyone survived the extreme cold weather without any side effects.   I know I will appreciate the sun a lot more when it does shine!

Dear Clara, I'm glad that you are getting some help with your care of your DH.

Spring will come. We had some very cold days here in Florida. Now it's raining and should be a little cooleragain this week, but not like last week's cold.

Hi Clara. It's been a while.
I am sorry to hear of your husband's problem. But - over 50 years married! that is such a blessing. My marriage lasted only 18 years until Ralph's death. But 18 very wonderful years. I will say a prayer for both of you.

Clara, I'm glad you are getting some much needed help with your husband. Use some of the respite care and take a break every now and then. You deserve it! The things I've heard about Hospice have all been good, around here anyway, and I'm sure they are most places. It's so good to have them when you need them.

I sure am thankful that it warmed up. It won't be long until groundhog day and it seems like spring isn't long after that, so the time is passing quickly....too quickly actually!

Take care Clara and have a wonderful week!

Hospice here has so many good programs, too, and you should take advantage of them and get some rest and get out as much as you can. I am so glad we are having weather in the 40s and 50s. I went out and bought flower pots the other day just like it was spring!

I'm glad that you're getting help with your husband from Hospice, Clara. They were a great help with both of my parents and gave us much-needed relief.

We are finally having warmer weather here, too. It's lovely to go outside without feeling as though frostbite is imminent. :-)

You have a beautiful blog and a beautiful spirit. I am a long time follower of Jamie Dawn and in missing her blogging, I decided visit some of her other friends. Glad to find you here. This Winter has been a corker for all of us.

Oh, My Clara,
I'm so sorry that it has come to this point for you and Bill. I know how worn out you must be and how difficult it must be for what is coming down the pike. I am glad that you have help now and that you are not alone. Please know my heart is there with you, dear friend. Praying for you both. I know you are a brave soul. God Bless you. Love, Ruby
