SURGERY BEGINS ON OLD HOSPITAL IN BRISTOL.....

Although the city's official position is that the old structure can't be saved, work began Monday to repair and renovate the Kings Mountain Hospital State Street structure. Of course it will never be a hospital again, but it has been said the building would be an "ideal" location for a bank, other professional offices and a restaurant.
This is the Kings Mountain nurses' quarters. Work is also expected to begin soon on refurbishing the nurses' quarters into transitional housing for homeless men. I don't have a record of these buildings, but I think they were built in the 1920's.

I think it's good that they are trying to save them instead of tearing them down.
