Can you tell my cucumbers have grown? I'm getting several cucumbers every day and am getting ready to make "Shake Pickles". I need to put up a few more strings, but I will have to get a ladder to do that. Does anyone know if every bloom makes a cucumber? I always thought that is what happened, but my DH says no. He thinks only about half of the blooms turn into a cucumber. I'm at a loss on that one!

Clara, that is beautiful! I grow cucumbers up too but they have never looked like that. This year mine didn't come up but my husband planted some and the deer are eating them.
WOW!! Those cuke's have really made some progress. I am amazed at how much they have grown.
About the blossoms making Cuke's, it seems to me it would depend upon fertilization. I was never good at growing them myself.
I'm curious about the 'shaker pickles' you mentioned. Can you tell us about them?
A note to 'dot' I use blood meal to keep deer away from my plants. It works.
I am no expert, Clara, but I was told there are male blossoms and female blossoms. Only the female blossoms produce a cuke.
