What is It??????
What is it????? How many of you know the answer? I saw the "thing" while on my quilt trail. I think it used to be common to see this a long time ago, but today it is rare......in my area anyway!
I'm not sure exactly what you call it but it's used to crush sugar cane for cane syrup. I can see the worn down area where the mule or what ever animal was used went round and round.
I have seen them before clara when I was little, but I declare I cannot remember what the horses or mules did while they went round and round. Oh me oh my!

God Bless!
It looks like a catapult to me!?
Grammie, I'll have to admit....I didn't know what a catapult was until I looked it up in Google. No, it's not a catapult! Good guess tho!!!!!
It is a thing that you hook a horse up to and he goes around in circles and grinds either sugar cane for syrup, or sorghum for molasses.
