Mayan Indian Ruins in Honduras....
Another one of Lisa's adventures.....This site is large....there are 3500 mounds in the 9.5 square miles. An area know as Copan Bottomlands. It is said, walking through these ruins is an eerie experience, like being a child lost in a crowd of demi-deities.
No, they are both deceased. His Mother was sick and he was going home and we were with him. (I think in 1998) She died just before the plane landed. His father was a Dr. and his Mother worked in the office with him. They were wonderful people.
Clara, I am wondering about the frog rock and ladies going there to have their babies. Do you know what the story behind that is? The reasoning and purpose and all? Just curious, if ya know.
Claudia, the only thing I know about the frog rock that it is: A group of rocks representing a toad, a crocodile, and a woman with child....a sacred place related to fertility and pregnancy. At one time there was water running over them. I can imagine women sitting on these rocks in labor....like some women do today sitting on the big rubber ball when in labor.

Very interesting stuff! Are your son-in-law's parents still living?
