This hornet's nest is in my back yard, but WAY in my back yard. It's not like right at my back door....(Thank Goodness). The only thing you have to be REAL careful when you mow. (Everytime, I pray they are "friendly" hornets.... It is fairly high from the ground in a pear tree. My daughter wants it to go in her classroom when the hornets die down or go away,,,,whatever they do. Her school emblem is "The Hornets".

Hornet's Nest....

I think this is the biggest hornets nest I have every seen. Great picture!
Oh Clara it is beautiful!! The one on my porch from early summer..well the hornets died after Danny had to spray the orchard for insects. I wanted to save the nest but my old porch railings were torn down a few weeks ago & new ones were put up. I forgot to get it!
