It's a good morning here in TN. The rain is slowly coming down, making a fine morning for reading or taking another nap. I walked out into the rain and made the above picture of a climitus on my back fence. It doesn't look the same as other climitus' I have seen. The lady who gave it to me said it was a climitus. It seems I have seen it growing along sides of the road. It isn't honey suckle......but I like it....whatever it be!!!!!

It does not look like the ones that my husband usually has clara, but whatever it be, I, like you, think it is just beautiful. We got rain here today too. Me and Roxy just can't like it, makes it hard for our always eventful walks. Take care my friend.

God Bless!

That is very pretty. Someone else I had a picture of a clematis on a fence. They said it was a different kind. I think it was on a blog. I will look around and see if I can find it again.

Here is one of the links. That is not the one I was talking about though.

Thanks for the link Marci, That is just like mine, so it must be a climitus. This is just the second year I have had mine out. I can't wait for it to cover the whole fence.

Your clematis may be Clematis Virginiana (Virgin's Bower), a native, late-summer, sweet-smelling, white blossomed one that is quite different from those that bloom in the Spring. I posted a close-up picture of one in Little Rock (www.littlerockdailyphoto.blogspot.com). Come see.
