I just finished my second Prairie Star. I gave it to my MIL in the nursing home. She loved it and cried when I gave it to her. Can you see the beige pieces? If I had it to do over, I would make them light blue. There isn't enough contrast between the white and the beige. But guess what....I'm not going to frog it!!!! (Rip it....Rip it....Rip it) LOL
Hi Clara!
ReplyDeleteYour Prairie Star is wonderful!!!!
Congratulations!
Have a nice week.
Hugs!
I can tell the beige from the white and think that changing it would be too much blue. I think it is absolutely beautiful just the way it is!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder she cried. It's beautiful and a very special gift!
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed! I can see why she cried upon receiving it. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI think it's beautiful just as it is. No wonder your mil cried!
ReplyDeleteI like your 'frog-it' term. LOL
LOL Clara, frog it! Haven't heard that before. And I would cry too just like your MIL did. Very pretty Clara!
ReplyDeleteWow... splendid... I think I'll cry too if receive a gift like this... :) Great work...

Another beautiful afghan, Clara!!! I am so glad your Mother-In-Law appreciates you.
ReplyDeleteOh Clara, it's beautiful!!!! I'm so glad I inspired you (by sending you that picture) to make these. You are so talented. I think you should win "Mrs. Crochet Woman of the Year" award, if there were such an award!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's beautiful just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteIs this something a rookie could make? I got through the shell/ripple with not too much trouble, and am ready for something a bit more challenging. What do you think? Is this a pattern I could find at the local yarn store?
ReplyDeleteI know this is a really old post but I was looking for this pattern (found it - yeah) and I came across your blog and this posting and just wanted to say how pretty that afghan is - you did a wonderful job ! I am sure your MIL just loved it.
