I don't make jam, but I love cobbler. We also picked blac...This did bring back memories! We also picked blackberries by the buckets, Mama made jam & canned blackberries. She usually canned at least 40 qts every summer, plus making jars of jam. The blackberries were sooo good in the winter, and she also made a lot of blackberry custards in the winter. My mama could make good custards, she also canned a lot of apples & peaches to use during the winter, in addition to canning all of the produce from our big vegetable garden.
